We have spent many years traveling internationally and domestically experiencing new things, having lots of adventures, and meeting new people. This year, we have decided to take a break from traditional life, put everything on hold, and live in an RV while we visit all 50 states and travel the country in just 50 weeks.
Why are we doing this? Well, to put it frankly, why not? We have the means, our jobs are flexible to allow us to work on the road, and our girls are not yet old enough to have the stress of activities or school. If we were to visit one state per year, it would take us 50 years to accomplish this bucket list. We don’t want to wait that long. Sure we will be missing out on some things back at home; dance class, friends, family, traditions. But we feel that the experience and memories we will gain are worth all the sacrifice and work of living on the road this year. Read our 50 States in 50 Weeks Q&A to learn more about life on the road in 2018.
We want to invite all of you to follow us on our journey of the United States and share in our adventures along the way. We are always looking for tips, suggestions or recommendations of your favorite hikes, beaches, monuments, pit stops, restaurants or activities. If you know of an event that will be well worth the stop – we would love to hear from you. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
